Dim Sum Plus

This restaurant seems hot and upcoming, and I can see why. It gives our old Toronto Chinatown a bit of a modern flare with it's beautiful indoor decor. Staff are Mandarin speakers (as opposed to Cantonese speaking at most other restaurants in Toronto Chinatown). The food is not your typical run-of-the-mill Chinese food and they have some really unique dishes.My favourite dish was the creamy steamed egg with pork and their layered cold tofu and preserved egg dish.I felt that the service was lacking, with 3-4 servers helping me, all providing quite inconsistent service. It didn't create the upscale experience that I expected. They were also very reluctant to seat a table of one. Most disappointingly, the boiled chicken and BBQ pork dish was quite flavourless and does not compare to the other typical old school Chinese restaurants in this Chinatown.

Nice environment, the food are not coming in large portion tho. Overall food is really good:) pictures are: duck soup, vegetables, chicken wings, roasted chicken. The chicken wings are really good should def try:)

I enjoyed the food here. It’s a step above the Chinese restaurants in the area and I really liked the clean modern decor. There is also a Markham location but this is my first visit to their restaurants.The place was pretty packed for our visit and so the service was a tad on the slow side, but i think this will improve as they were in soft opening phase during my visit.We tried the exclusive dishes that are available here - the Abalone with marinated pork; okra with fried beef; and the curry chicken with puff pastry. All three dishes were quite tasty, but I enjoyed the pork belly dish the most.Prices are not bad for what you get. Located in a busy part of downtown, this restaurant that has one also located in Markham is very high class. The atmosphere seems high-quality and the service is very nice as well. Servers are friendly, and the food was quick to arrive. The dishes are all very tasty and seem very fresh. Recommend this place to everyone who wants authentic Chinese cuisine.

First time in this location. We were in Markham location during the last summer. Food were above average compared with the local Chinatown. Price is also fair with the food & service. Make sure you buy a 2 years VIP membership to save 10% off the listing price.

How can you even call this Chinese food???? Absolutely awful. I can get better food at Manchu Wok. The skewers tasted like they were soaked in sauce water. BBQ pork has decent presentation but meat was bland. Shrimp tofu and veggies is soggy and bland. The mashed potatoes and beef is supposed to be a special but it tasted like all the worst parts of mashed potatoes, curry, and Chinese. Would not recommend. In China town, there are so many better uses of your money and time. Don’t come here.

My experience here was mainly positive. First off, I was very impressed with the restaurant's clean and beautiful interior. The wooden chairs and tables were very modern. The BBQ chicken was served on an iron hot plate with sweet chili sauce and salt and chili powder. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I loved dipping it into the sweet sauce. The noodles have to mixed at the table since the sauce sits at the bottom. The noodles had a fragrant onion aroma which I loved. The star of the show was the abalone and pork dish ($37). It was my first time trying abalone. The abalone had a slight chew and a clean taste. The pork belly cubes were very tender and was covered in delicious brown sauce. There were also quail eggs in the dish so it's quite a hefty plate of food. I highly recommend ordering rice with this dish
